A lamp is very important to light our home when the sky goes dark. Due to its importance, it is considered as a must-have household-ware. We will consider the lamp’s durability when buying lamp. However, the lamp should have a reasonable cost and low electrical consumption. So, what kind of lamp should we look for?
Because of the development and the innovation of technology, we can find various kinds of lamp. Light bulbs, neon lamps, etc. are available in various models and brands. LED is one of the choices.
LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. It has better quality than other kinds of lamps. The light which released from LED is very good for us, especially for children. LED releases white natural light. The white light is very comfortable for our eyes. It will not hurt our eyes if we stare at the light directly.
In addition, the application of semiconductor on LED is far more efficient than other kinds of lamps when it comes to power consumption. No wonder that recently, LED is applied to monitor screens and LCD TV (Liquid Crystal Display Television). About 15-25% electricity is absorbed and transformed to be the light. It releases less heat than non-LED lamps. Because of this, the lamp lights longer and consumes less electricity. By absorbing 17 Watt, LED can release light equals to conventional lamps that absorb 100 Watt.
Choosing LED as house lamp prevents global warming, too. Most of conventional lamps are likely to radiate heat soon after being turned on. The radiation is clearly a disadvantage for us. LED minimizes heat radiation because it is designed to manage the heat effectively.
It is recommended to choose LED lamps in order to make a comfortable atmosphere at home. Besides that, LED also prevents global warming. LED has criteria which we need for light; high durability, cost effective, less electricity consumption, and easily recycled.(Mulad Aji M)
