Intermezzo (Album review)

Good news for Britney mania around the world!! A brand new era of Britney almost come to our day. It is called Circus Era. You know what? Circus is the title of Britney's fresh album, 6th album overall, which will be released in the beginning of December. Thea album is produced by the outsiders, May Martin, Bloodshy. and Avant, Nate "Danja" Hills, and many more.
Even though the album has not issued yet, but i had a premonition that this extra cool album will follow the success of her previous album. And it must be!! Started with her first single Womanizer. Britney successfully breaks a record since the single jumped from 96 position to the top position in U.S. Billboard Hot 100, The song is the first #1 in U.S. since her baby, 10 years prior, it's all up because in the first week of its release the video had been watched by over 20 million people all around the world in Youtube.
And the follow up single will be Circus, which will be scheduled on December release. There's gonna be lots of cool track in this album, try to listen Kill The Light, talks about the relationship between Britney and paparazzi, and there are If You Seek Amy, Mmm Papi, and some of bonus tracks such as Radar and Phonography. I guess that most of the song on this album are up beat tempo, catchy, hot, sexy, exuberant. It just typically Britney.
Ok readers,, are you ready for this huge crash? for the people who call themselves "a loyal/biggest Brittamya" this album is a must have!! You will play this album over and over again, and you will never get enough from her. Moreover, the album's gonna blow up your head! And for you who don't realy like Britney, it's no wrong to try to listento the song, who knows that you're gonna get into her rhyme. LOL. The last one, I only can say "what an extra extra anticipated album".

Jack's Mannequin - The Glass Passenger (2008)




Here's another great album from Jack's Mannequin, "The Glass Passenger"
In this sophomore album, Andrew McMahon offers different sound from his first "Everything in Transit".
Though the songs are not ears-friendly as the first album, but the typical of Andrew's writing is composed perfectly.
We will find 13 songs that are more mature, emotional, and skillful than before.
I can't say that this album is worse than the first, cause there're amazing songs you should listen more than once to get the rhythm.
just listen his single "The Resolution", then, prepare to be drawn on that wonderful song.
Overall, this album is worth to get for Jack's Mannequin's Fan or anyone who wants to listen meaningful songs.

Halloween Party

Halloween party conducted by EDCOM at FSSR parking lot was absolutely exciting. Why not? students marched in an had fun together with their cheeriest smile.
There were several booths available there; dart, bubbling apples, trick or treat & truth or dare, haunted corner, fortune teller, and many more.
Without any doubt, enthusiasm reached the sky. Visitors visited every booth bringing so much pleasure.
The lectures were in the same energy. They costumed themselves in a great funny costume that made everyone smile.
Besides, there were also costume contest, bonfire, and marshmallow time. Evening was complete with movie time as the last show.
One thing that made the atmosphere uncomfortable. it's the temperature. It was really hot in that place, though that's not a big matter for us at that moment.
So keep your eyes to EDCOM, cos we will have another surprise later.

Inauguration Night 2008

Well...
What can i say about Inauguration Night 2008 ? i think words are inadequate.
That was really great, exciting, and entertaining evening. (that's true)
Two thumbs way up for the committee (ED 07) for holding that evening. And Four thumbs way up also for their drama, Message Under The Desk, so exciting. There's so many nice director, actors, & actress on that place. Actually, I don't event think before that those person will conduct the drama, but those were. And it's really great. But, only one thing that made me wondering until now. How's the ending guys? i didn't get that? (so sorry my friends!!).

Better that Broadway was also much better than before. Ballad of Birmingham, that's so emotional. Honestly, I like the part when the guitar strung out wildly and the narrator screamed out really loud, spreading all her beautiful words to the audience. Hey!!! That was the moment I looked for. It inspired me to write a song.
And for ED 2008, your drama is great also. Made me laugh all the time. Good work guys!!!

Furthermore, i got more that just fun on that evening.
I felt the atmosphere reminded me with the old Inauguration of ED 06, when i was the part of the freshmen.

Last but not least. Thanks once again to the committee and everybody for bringing that moment in front of my eyes, my ears, and my consciousness. I'm waiting for the next surprise!!!

Wajah Baru di Generasi yang Baru

Metamorfosa, itulah kata yang cocok untuk sebuah perubahan yang dihadirkan dalam Blog EDCOM terbaru ini. Layaknya sebuah kepompong yang menjelma menjadi seekor kupu-kupu, EDCOM atau Himpunan Mahasiswa Jurusan Sastra Inggris juga menjelma menjadi sebuah organisasi yang dapat menyongsong hari esok dengan penuh visi, misi, dan kemantapan hati.

Blog terbaru inipun adalah sebuah perubahan yang juga ditawarkan oleh EDCOM untuk mensosialisasikan diri di dunia maya yang serba cepat ini. Dengan Blog ini pulalah saya (Head of Merchandiser/KWU div.) ingin memberikan kesempatan kepada kepala-kepala divisi yang lain untuk ikut berpartisipasi dalam meramaikan Blog ini.

Mungkin banyak yang bertanya, mengapa sekarang bahasa yang digunakan adalah Bahasa Indonesia, bukannya Bahasa Inggris. Inipun juga merupakan langkah yang diambil untuk dapat memberikan informasi yang lebih jelas kepada khalayak ramai terutama di Indonesia mengenai jurusan Sastra Inggris UNS. Agar mereka tahu bahwa Sastra Inggris UNS merupakan jurusan yang memang pantas untuk disandingkan dengan jurusan-jurusan terhormat yang lain di negeri ini.
